What this changes Card definitions control the player library. Edition limits are controlled per card, globally. Series only decides where the card appears in the album and which packs can pull it.

Every field below is labelled, including the card-level total edition cap used for numbered cards.

1. Card Identity

Basic identity shown on the card, collection, pack reveal and profile showcase.

2. Classification

Controls where the card appears and how it behaves in packs, album and gameplay systems.

3. Minting & Edition Limit

This is the important collectible-numbering control. Total Editions is controlled per card definition. A card can be assigned to one or more series, but its numbered editions are global for that card, not reset per series.

Edition rule: Pack openings use the server-side EditionMintService. It locks the card definition, chooses an unused card-level edition number and writes to edition_ledger with a UNIQUE(card_definition_id, edition_number) constraint, so duplicate edition numbers cannot be created for the same card.

4. Rugby Attributes

Base stats are 1–99. The effective overall is calculated using the rarity multiplier unless overridden.

5. Artwork & Description

Use placeholder artwork during build, then replace with production images when ready.
